The reopening of the 500-year-old Weitra Brewery Hotel was celebrated yesterday with a ceremonial ceremony. Numerous residents of Weitra and the surrounding communities, representatives of the economy, security organizations and politics, including the state governor Johanne Mikl-Leitner, were present at the event. State governor Mikl-Leitner emphasized that the Weitra Brewery Hotel has still retained its original charm and authenticity despite its renovation. She thanked the new owners Faraz Nourani and Helga Hollensteiner, who have transformed the hotel into a modern tourism business that focuses on tradition, regionality and quality.
The Brauhotel Weitra has a long history that is closely linked to the brewery in Weitra, a town known as the oldest brewing town in Austria. The new adventure world in the castle, the beer mile through the old town and the upcoming beer festival make Weitra a must for beer lovers. But Weitra and the entire Waldviertel have more to offer than just beer. The region is characterized by a beautiful natural landscape, with raised moors, rocking stones and heathlands. Hikers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts will find numerous opportunities to explore the region.
The Waldviertel also offers a wide range of cultural activities. From chamber music festivals to theater performances taking place this summer at Weitra Castle - there is something for every taste. The Waldviertel has become a popular vacation destination, as the increasing number of overnight stays shows. The Waldviertel has recorded the highest increase in overnight stays this year at over four percent. Visitors come here to experience the originality and authenticity of the region, and the Brauhotel Weitra offers exactly that.
The mayor of Weitra, Patrick Layr, is pleased about the rapid reopening of the brewery hotel and proudly emphasizes the art of brewing and the beer for which Weitra is known. Wolfgang Lalouschek gave a laudatory speech to the new owner of the brewery hotel Weitra, Faraz Nourani, and praised his vision and modest character.
The ceremonial reopening of the brewery hotel was accompanied by music from the Weitra town band, and Pastor Markus Freytag blessed the hotel. This was followed by the traditional tapping of a barrel of "Weitra Bräu".
The reopening of the Brauhotel Weitra not only marks a milestone in the history of brewing in Weitra, but also an attractive opportunity for visitors to discover and experience the beauty of the Waldviertel. The combination of tradition, regionality and quality makes the Brauhotel Weitra a unique destination for beer lovers and nature lovers alike.
