Using renewable energy technologies to achieve climate resilience

The umbrella organization Energy-Climate (DVEK) is organizing the Climate Resilience Forum in Vienna on June 20, 2024 to demonstrate the importance of renewable energy technologies for the federal capital. The event aims to promote effective networking between companies and industry experts.

Austria is placing particular emphasis on the expansion of renewable energies and their infrastructure in order to achieve the long-term goal of climate neutrality. As part of a tour through various federal states, the DVEK is devoting itself to the specific conditions and climate resilience. This year, the focus is particularly on Vienna.

At the event, experts will present the potential of various renewable energy technologies in Vienna and offer insights into their practical implementation. In addition, concrete plans such as the Vienna Heat Plan 2040 will be presented and discussions will be held about business opportunities and the added value of energy communities.

The event starts with a discussion between representatives from politics and business, including the Greens' energy spokesperson, Lukas Hammer, the Neos' energy spokesperson, Karin Doppelbauer, and the head of the Department of Environmental and Energy Policy at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, Jürgen Streitner. Registration for participation is possible until June 17, 2024 and is free of charge.

About the DVEK

The Energy-Climate Umbrella Association (DVEK) is a working group within the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and focuses on renewable energies, climate protection and energy efficiency. The association is particularly committed to the business-oriented implementation of climate protection in Austria and acts as a central communication platform for the entire value chain.
