MP Wolfgang Seidl, health spokesman for the FPÖ Vienna, has strongly criticized the City Councilor for Health Peter Hacker with regard to the situation in Vienna's health system. Seidl stresses that Hacker's decisions have contributed significantly to the current grievances. In particular, Seidl sees the proposed professional ban for doctors as populist and dangerous for health care in Vienna.
Seidl points out that the Viennese health system is already under considerable pressure, as can be clearly felt in the Ottakring clinic. Instead of presenting well-thought-out solutions, Hacker is making the situation even worse with immature concepts. This puts additional strain on the medical staff and nursing staff, who are already working at their limits.
Seidl finds the unequal treatment of employees in the health system particularly problematic. He criticizes the fact that employees in party headquarters can go home after short working hours, while medical staff have to work overtime. He sees this as not only unfair, but also dangerous for patient care.
Seidl therefore calls for symbolic measures to be avoided and for sustainable solutions to be implemented instead to combat the shortage of nursing staff and improve working conditions for doctors and nurses. The FPÖ Vienna will continue to exert pressure to support the voices of citizens and medical staff.
As can be seen in an article from www.ots.at, Wolfgang Seidl's calls for a review of current health policy to ensure patient care in Vienna are becoming louder. The critical attitude towards hackers and the demand for sustainable solutions are central points in the effort to reform the health system.
