AGA-PolitikZeit: President Kruse calls for measures to accelerate infrastructure projects
In his speech during the AGA-PolitikZeit, AGA President Dr. Hans Fabian Kruse launched a call to speed up the important infrastructure projects. He stressed the importance of projects such as the new Köhlbrand Bridge and the Fehmarnbelt Crossing for the national economy.
Planning and approval procedures, financing issues and legal disputes are hindering the progress of the projects. Kruse therefore called for more understanding from political decision-makers both in Berlin as well as in the federal states outside Northern Germany.
Kruse also called for an accelerated construction process and demanded transparent communication from those responsible for politics. Both businesses and citizens depend on reliable information in order to be able to make their own plans safely.
MP Franziska Hoppermann stressed that the Köhlbrand Bridge, the A26 East port motorway and the renovation of the A1 were particularly important for Hamburg. These projects should not be delayed any further, as they are essential for Hamburg as a business location and for the port. Hoppermann called for accelerated planning and a reform of the right to collective action.
Member of Parliament Dorothee Martin also supports the call for accelerated planning and approval for infrastructure projects. Reducing bureaucracy, speeding up planning processes and recruiting skilled workers are key concerns for Hamburg companies and crucial to their competitiveness.
The importance of infrastructure projects for Hamburg and Germany
These demands are linked to ongoing discussions about national infrastructure. The new infrastructure projects, including the Köhlbrand Bridge, the A26 East port motorway and the Fehmarnbelt crossing, are of great economic importance. They are essential for Hamburg as a business location, port operations and the national economy.
The problems in the planning and approval procedures as well as the lengthy legal disputes are delaying progress and jeopardising competitiveness. Politicians and business representatives are therefore calling for faster and more efficient processes.
It is urgently necessary for politicians to take measures to speed up the approval procedures and reduce bureaucracy. This approach will enable projects to be implemented more quickly and the economy will benefit in the long term.
The role of politics in accelerating infrastructure projects
Policies at the federal, state and local levels play a crucial role in accelerating infrastructure projects. Clear priorities must be set, resources must be allocated and bureaucratic hurdles must be removed to speed up the process.
Transparent communication from those responsible for politics is of great importance. Businesses and citizens must be informed about the current status of projects in order to advance their planning. Reliable information makes a decisive contribution to willingness to invest and competitiveness.
The calls for accelerated planning and financing of infrastructure projects are an important step towards more efficient economic development. It is now up to policy makers to take the necessary measures to advance the projects and strengthen the national economy.
