In an article by www.insuedthueringen.de it can be seen that the election in the Wartburg district for the office of district administrator has not yet been decided. Candidates Michael Brodführer from the CDU and Uwe Krell from the AfD left the other candidates from the SPD and the Left behind in the first round of voting. Brodführer received 42.9 percent of the votes and Krell 32.1 percent. Although Brodführer received the most votes, it was not enough for an absolute majority of over 50 percent. Therefore, there will be another election this Sunday, with only Brodführer and Krell on the ballot. It is an exciting Runoff electionwhich is occupying the residents of the Wartburg district these days.
